Spanish expert: China's diplomacy offers new perspective to solution of global issues

Xinhua, January 20, 2016 Adjust font size:

China's diplomacy is a model which offers new perspectives for the world to better address its thorny issues, said Xulio Rios, director of the Spanish Observatory of Chinese Policy on Tuesday.

Since Chinese President Xi Jinping took office, a notable change has taken place in the Chinese diplomacy with a clear will to share the Chinese experience with the rest of the world, Rios told Xinhua.

Rios spoke highly of Chinese policies including national revitalization, adherence to dialogue between nations with regard to diversity, and the notion of the community of common destiny, saying they benefited the world at large.

The Spanish expert also highlighted the call for establishing a new model of international relations which takes into account the structure of new relations with big countries as well as with small ones, in order to address such issues as nuclear security and global economic imbalances.

The expert on Chinese politics also noted that China's international image has improved significantly despite some internal problems, as he has seen a more active participation of China in global affairs.

In the ongoing conflicts such as those in Syria, Iran, Afghanistan, and the Korean Peninsular, China has helped bring about peace talks which give hope to their solutions, said Rios. Endi
