Cambodia PM says his health very good after medical checkup in S'pore

Xinhua, January 20, 2016 Adjust font size:

Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen said on Wednesday that his health is "very good" after having a checkup in Singapore.

"After a thorough checkup, doctors have clearly concluded that my health is very good, though I'm older," the 63-year-old prime minister wrote on his official Facebook page, adding that no any types of diseases posed a threat to his health.

Hun Sen said doctors were also happy to see his arms-and-legs force remains strong in the status as a golfer. He added that they also praised him for quitting smoking.

The prime minister successfully gave up smoking in 2014 after trying to stop it for more than a decade.

"With my good health, I will continue safeguarding peace and boosting socio-economic development for the sake of the nation and people," he said.

Hun Sen travelled to Singapore for a health checkup on Monday and is scheduled to return to the country on Thursday. Endit
