Death toll of French killed in Ouagadougou attack climbs to four: Hollande

French national Leila Alaoui, wounded in Burkina Faso attack last week, succumbed to her injuries, bringing the death toll of French nationals in the fatal attack claimed by Al-Qaeda to four, French President Francois Hollande said on Tuesday.

Alaoui was a photographer working on a project in Ouagadougou for an international NGO, the president added in a statement.

Hollande added that Arnaud Cazier, Eddie Touati and Antonio de Oliveira Basto, three of Alaoui's colleagues working for the same NGO, also died in "this heinous and cowardly act."

The French President sent condolences to the families victims and expressed solidarity with them, the communique added.

Last Friday, Al-Qaeda militants stormed the Splendid Hotel in Burkina Faso's capital, as well as a restaurant and another hotel nearby, killing 30 people. Endit
