Two police officers were killed and 10 others wounded when members of the outlawed Kurdish Workers' Party (PKK) attacked an armored police bus in the southeastern province of Sirnak on Monday, private Dogan news agency reported.
A group of PKK militants attacked the police bus with rockets at night in the Yeni neighborhood of Sirnak province, according to the report. (Turkey-Conflict-PKK)

TEHRAN -- Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman said here Monday that the Islamic republic will keep up with its missile program despite new U.S. sanctions.

DAMASCUS -- The Islamic State (IS) militant group and the al-Qaida-linked Nusra Front are expected to withdraw from areas under their control in south of the capital Damascus within 72 hours, local al-Watan newspaper reported on Monday.
The IS and Nusra will pull out of the areas of the Palestinian camp of Yarmouk, and the adjacent districts of Hajar al-Aswad, said the newspaper. It added that local militants from the aforementioned areas will fill the void after the withdrawal of the hardline groups. (Syria-IS)

HELSINKI -- Both Finland and Iraq wish to enhance cooperation to repatriate Iraqi asylum seekers, said the Finnish Ministry of Interior on Monday.
