Luis Enrique open to new signings

FC Barcelona coach Luis Enrique refused to rule out his club making any new signings before the end of the month.

Barca have already strengthened their squad with the incorporation of Arda Turam and Aleix Vidal, but have been liked with a return for former B-team players, Nolito and Danis Suarez.

"The club knows what we need. But, as is always the case, it comes down to price, negotiations, circumstances," said Luis Enrique, who added that "until the transfer window closes, there's always the possibility of movement, but if nobody arrives I dont want anyone to leave."

He added he was delighted with Turan and Vidal, who have quickly slotted into the side after training with the first team since the summer.

"They haven't surprised me. They've been taking on board our ideas over the past few months, and hopefully they'll continue to improve," he said, before looking ahead to Sunday's league game against Athletic Club Bilbao, who his side will then play in the King's Cup knockout tournament.

"I always expect the same as always from Athletic: they are a side that offer no let-up and give absolutely nothing away.... We know each other very well, and it'll be difficult for both teams. The players know what type of game they face," he concluded. Enditem
