Albania's economy to grow in 2016, 2017: report

Xinhua, January 15, 2016 Adjust font size:

Albania's economy will experience a progressive economic growth in 2016 and 2017, according to a report published by the Bank of Albania.

The economic growth will equilibrate Albania's economy and inflation, Albanian Daily News cited the report on Friday.

The economic growth in the two years is predicted to increase the consumption and private investments while trade exchanges with other countries are expected to have a slight contribution to the growth.

As for Albanian exports, the report says exports will get better, especially in the agricultural sector. In a latest interview, the Minister of Agriculture Edmond Panariti said one of the main objectives of his ministry this year is to find new markets for Albania's agriculture exports and the increase of farmlands.

The increase of state revenues and the decrease of public expenditures, an indicator that was recorded during the last months of 2015, will also contribute to Albania's economic growth in 2016, according to the bank report. Enditem
