Al-Moallem made the remarks during his meeting with the visiting UN envoy to Syria, Staffan de Mistura, during which the head of the Syrian diplomacy stressed Syria's readiness to take part in this month's Geneva meeting as planned.

The roadmap is designed to establish dialogue, a cease-fire and a new government in Syria as a prelude to broader and more inclusive solution.
