Raptors tops Wizards 97-88

DeMar DeRozan had a season-high 35 points as the Toronto Raptors beat the Washingotn Wizards 97-88 on Friday night.

DeRozan scored 21 of his 35 points in the second half and Kyle Lowry had 21 points and 10 assists. John Wall led Washington with 21 points and Otto Porter Jr. had 16. Ramon Sessions grabbed 14 and Marcin Gortat finished with 12 points and 10 rebounds for Washington, which lost for the fifth time in six games.

The Raptors surged an 18-4 run to have a 69-59 lead in the third quarter before the Wizards cutting the deficit to 83-89 with 2:50 to go, but the Wizards couldn't get any closer. Enditem
