Spanish stock market falls 1.66 pct, closes at 8,909 points

The Spanish stock market index Ibex-35 fell 1.66 percent on Friday to close at 8,909.20 points, down from the 9,059.30 points of Thursday.

Share values were down 6.6 percent in the week as a whole with the Spanish risk premium closing at 120.30 points on Friday, slightly above the 116.58 points of Monday. Spain's 10-year bond interest rate closed at 1.722 percent, showing no big differences when compared with Monday.

On Friday session, Banco Popular shares led falls losing 4.14 percent, followed by Repsol, ArcelorMittal, Banco Sabadell, Gamesa and Banco Santander that lost 4.01 percent, 3.60 percent, 3.30 percent, 3.19 percent and 2.70 percent respectively.

On the other hand, FCC shares led rises climbing 1.03 percent, followed by Aena, Acerinox and Enagas that rose 0.93 percent, 0.78 percent and 0.57 percent respectively. Enditem
