Iceland's balance of trade turns to deficit in December 2015

Iceland saw its balance of trade amount to a deficit of 9.4 billion Icelandic krona (72.3 million U.S. dollars) in December 2015, down from a surplus of 800 million Icelandic krona in November 2015, Statistics Iceland said Friday.

Preliminary figures show the value of exported goods amounted to 47 billion krona, while the value of imported goods amounted to 56.4 billion krona in December 2015.

Compared with November 2015, the value of exported goods in December 2015 saw a decrease of 4.5 billion krona, while the value of imported goods saw an increase of 5.7 billion krona. (1 U.S. dollar = 130 Icelandic Krona) Enditem
