Ex-Brazil striker Vagner Love joins Monaco

Xinhua, January 8, 2016 Adjust font size:

Former Brazil international striker Vagner Love has left Corinthians to join French Ligue 1 outfit Monaco.

Monaco agreed to pay the Sao Paulo-based club 1.5 million euros for the transfer, according to the Folha de S.Paulo newspaper.

The 31-year-old is the fourth first-team regular to leave Corinthians since they won the Brazilian Serie A title last month.

His departure follows that of Jadson, Renato Augusto and Ralf, who have all signed with Chinese clubs.

Midfielder Elias and defender Gil have also been linked with China moves while goalkeeper Cassio has reportedly drawn interest from clubs in Turkey.

Capped 20 times for Brazil, Vagner's career has included spells at CSKA Moscow, Palmeiras, Flamengo and Shandong Luneng. Endit
