Jordan said Thursday that the security and stability of Saudi Arabia is part of its own stability, stressing the strategic ties with the neighboring.

Jordan's Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour said Jordan is committed to protecting its borders' security and safety with the neighboring countries, especially with Saudi Arabia.

The prime minister made the remarks at a meeting with a visiting Saudi delegation led by Minister of Transport Abdullah Al Meqbel.

Ensour said Jordan is keen on boosting its cooperation with Saudi Arabia in various areas, and the cooperation potential is huge.

The Saudi official also voiced keenness to boost cooperation with Jordan.

Saudi Arabia cut diplomatic relations with Iran on Sunday after angry protesters in Shiite-dominated Iran stormed the Saudi embassy and consulate against the Saudi execution of prominent Shiite cleric Nimr al-Nimr.

Bahrain and Sudan followed suit by severing ties with Iran, while the United Arab Emirates downgraded the diplomatic relation.

On Wednesday, Jordan summoned the Iranian ambassador in Amman to condemn the attack on Saudi embassy in Tehran and Iran's interference in Saudi's internal affairs. Endit
