Chinese shares close lower Tuesday

China's stocks closed lower on Tuesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.26 percent, at 3,287.71 points.

The smaller Shenzhen index lost 1.36 percent to close at 11,468.06 points. The ChiNext Index, which tracks China's NASDAQ-style board of growth enterprises, dropped 2.99 percent to close at 2,416.73 points. Endi
