Xinhua, December 30, 2015 Adjust font size:

Cambodia has deported 4,424 undocumented foreigners in 2015, the latest immigration report showed on Wednesday.

The deportees included 3,848 males and 576 females in 49 nationalities, according to the report of the country's General Department of Immigration.

The report said "3,978 (or 90 percent) of them are Vietnamese nationals."

Since April 2014 when the department was formally established, a total of 5,731 illegal foreigners, including 853 females, had been sent back to their countries of origin.

Under Cambodia's immigration law, any alien living in the country without valid documents such as passports, visas, or work permits are subject to deportation. Enditem
