Pakistan's Army Chief General Raheel Sharif and Afghan leaders agreed in talks in Kabul on Sunday to take action against those armed groups refusing to join peace process, the military said.

General Raheel Sharif held meetings with Afghan President Ashraf Ghani and Chief Executive Dr Abdullah Abdullah and discussed "security related issues including information sharing, coordinated counter terrorism operations on respective sides and way forward for Afghan peace process,"the military said. WASHINGTON -- A total of 965 American civilians were shot and killed by U.S. police in 2015, and black unarmed men were six times as likely as whites to be shot dead by police, a report said Sunday.

Among the victims of the police shootings, 564 were armed with a gun, 281 armed with less threatening weapons such as knives, toy weapons or cutting instruments, but 90 were unarmed, according to the Washington Post report. (U.S.-Police-Killing)

MEXICO CITY -- Four people were shot dead at a restaurant in Mexico's violence-torn southern state of Guerrero Sunday, said local authorities.

The two men and two women were killed when four gunmen entered the restaurant in Sabana Grande, a community near Iguala, and opened fire on the victims. (Mexico-Restaurant-Deaths)

TEHRAN -- Iran on Sunday dismissed a recent statement issued by the Arab League (AL) council of foreign ministers over its alleged intervention in the internal affairs of Arab countries, Press TV reported.

The AL statement on Iran is "non-constructive and incorrect" as Tehran has had cordial relations with most of Arab countries based on mutual respect and common interests, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Hossein Jaber Ansari was quoted as saying. (Iran-AL-Intervention) Endite
