Xinhua, December 27, 2015 Adjust font size:

The chairmen's meeting of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), China's top political advisory body, has proposed convening an annual session of the CPPCC National Committee in Beijing on March 3 next year.

It will be the fourth annual session of the 12th CPPCC National Committee. The draft proposal will be deliberated by the Standing Committee of the 12th CPPCC National Committee.

Top political advisor Yu Zhengsheng presided over the meeting on Sunday, where he said the year 2016 is a key year for the building of a moderately prosperous society in all respects.

The CPPCC should focus its work on implementing the concept of innovative, coordinated, green, open and shared development, contributing to the country's economic and social development via political consultation, democratic supervision, as well as participation and discussion of state affairs, he said.
