"Mojin-The Lost Legend" dominates China's box office

"Mojin-The Lost Legend," a domestic action-fantasy, ruled the box office in the week ending Dec. 20, earning 600 million yuan (92.6 million U.S. dollars) after opening on Dec. 18.

"Surprise," a domestic comedy-fantasy, reaped 151 million yuan in the week to land in second place. It was also released on Dec. 18.

Third spot went to "Point Break," with 46 million yuan in the week, China Film News reported Friday. The crime-thriller remake was released on Dec. 4.

American sci-fi "The Martian" came in fourth, earning 23.6 million yuan in the seven days. It was released in Chinese theaters on Nov. 25.

Rounding out the top five was "The Master," a domestic kungfu action, with 20.5 million yuan. It opened on Dec. 10. Endi
