Urgent: Indian PM announces surprise visit to Pakistan

Xinhua, December 25, 2015 Adjust font size:

Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will meet his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi in the country's eastern city of Lahore later on Friday, confirmed the Pakistani PM House in a statement.

The statement came shortly after Modi tweeted that he will drop by Lahore to see Sharif on his way back to New Delhi from Afghanistan. This will be Modi's first visit to Pakistan since he assumed office in May 2014. Enditem
