An international teenager five-a-side football tournament kicked off Thursday in Erenhot, a city of northern China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.

Players of 18 teams from Mongolia's Ulan Bator, Zamin-Uud as well as China's Hohhot, Xilinhot cities and other places are participating in the three-day event.

"We have prepared well and look forward to achieving a good result," said Altandorji, coach of a Ulan Bator soccer team.

The tournament, sponsored by Inner Mongolia's local government, is an activity to enhance sports communication among China, Mongolia and Russia.

Erenhot, bordering Mongolia, has been a bridgehead for China's economic, trade and cultural ties with its neighbor.  Endi
