Indian stocks closed higher on Wednesday tracking the proceedings in Asian markets ahead of the holiday season.

The benchmark S&P BSE Sensex closed at 25,850.30, 259.65 points or 1.01 percent up from the previous close of 25,590.65, with a turnover of 299.80 crore rupees (about 45.3 million US dollars). Endit
