Israeli soldiers on the border with the Gaza Strip wounded three Palestinians on Tuesday, while Israeli naval forces arrested 10 fishermen while they were fishing in Gaza sea, officials said.
Ashraf al-Qedra, spokesman for the Hamas-run ministry of health in Gaza, told reporters that a Palestinian woman, in her 20s, was shot and injured by Israeli troops' gunfire as she approached the fence of the border east of the southern Gaza Strip town of Khan Younis.
He said the woman was shot in the leg and was taken to hospital for medical treatment, adding that two other young men were shot and injured east of al-Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza Strip.
Eyewitnesses said the two young men were injured and dozens inhaled tear gas during clashes between dozens of young men and Israeli soldiers at the border with Israel.
Since early October, 129 Palestinians were killed, most in the West Bank, and hundreds others injured in a wave of violent tension between Israel and the Palestinians.
Earlier Tuesday, the Israeli naval forces arrested 10 Palestinian fishermen in the sea of the Gaza Strip, said Nizar Ayyash, chairman of Gaza fishermen union.
He told Xinhua that Israeli army naval forces surrounded three Palestinian fishing boats in the middle of the Gaza Strip sea and arrested 10 fishermen, adding that the Israeli army confiscated their boats.
On Monday night, two other fishermen were detailed and their fishing boat was confiscated.
Israel says its forces arrest Gaza fishermen in suspect of smuggling weapons into Gaza for militants to use against Israel. Enditem
