Xinhua, December 22, 2015 Adjust font size:

Chinese Vice President Li Yuanchao on Tuesday met with a Pakistani youth delegation.

Li said China and Pakistan have an all-weather strategic cooperative partnership and China is willing to deepen cooperation in various fields.

Li expressed his hope that the youth of the two countries will promote the "Belt and Road" initiative and contribute more to building a China-Pakistan community of common destiny.

Arooj Sohail, a student from Pakistan's Punjab Province, said the "Belt and Road" initiative and the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) provide opportunities for young people.

Ghulam Fatima, a student from Pakistan's Sindh Province, said the Pakistani youth stand ready to communicate and cooperate more with the Chinese youth.

In February 2014, leaders of the two countries agreed on launching the China-Pakistan Year of Friendly Exchanges in 2015. Both sides have held a series of events to promote understanding, trust and friendship between the two peoples throughout the year.

The delegation included about 100 members. In addition to Beijing, they will also visit the southwestern province of Sichuan and Henan Province in central China. Endit
