Bangladeshi mobile operators add over 11.65 mln new users

The total number of Bangladesh's mobile phone subscribers reached nearly 132 million at the end of October with addition of 11.65 million new users in the first 10 months of the year, statistics of the country's telecom regulator showed Sunday.

According to Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC), the number of subscribers in the country reached 131.996 million in October.

The number of subscribers of the six mobile operators, Grameenphone, Banglalink, Robi Axiata, Airtel, Teletalk and Citycell at the end of September stood at 55.896 million, 32.599 million, 28.288 million, 9.982 million, 4.141 million and 1.089 million respectively, the BTRC data showed.

The total number of Bangladesh's mobile phone subscribers reached nearly 120.350 million at the end of December 2014, showed the BTRC data. Endit
