NATO chief welcomes signing of Libya political agreement

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg on Thursday welcomed the signing of Libya political agreement, the security organization said in a statement.

Calling it a significant step on the road to bring peace and stability in Libya, "I welcome the signature of the Political Agreement by the Libyan actors in Skhirat today," said Stoltenberg.

"I look forward to its implementation and to the formation of an inclusive national unity government," he added.

Stoltenberg has stressed that NATO fully supported the renewed efforts to find a political solution to the crisis in Syria after the NATO ministerial meeting earlier this month.

Libyan conflicting parties signed on Thursday a UN-brokered deal in the Moroccan city of Skhirat to end the country's political crises. Endit
