NBA center Samuel Dalembert has signed with Shanxi Fenjiu, the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) team announced on Thursday.

Dalembert, 34, is known for his knack for blocking, having averaged about two blocks per game over his NBA career.

He was selected with the 26th overall pick by the Philadelphia 76ers in the 2001 NBA draft. Then he played for the Sacramento Kings, the Houston Rockets, the Milwaukee Bucks, the Dallas Mavericks, the New York Knicks, but was waived by the Mavericks in October.

Shanxi, who have also signed up American players Yancy Gates and Dominique Jones, rank 14th this season with a 7-11 win-loss record. Endi
