7 killed in road crash in southeastern Bangladesh

Seven people were killed and eight others injured as a truck carrying equipment of a cell phone operator on Thursday morning veered off the road and fell into a ditch in southeastern Bandarban hill district, some 316 km southeast of capital Dhaka.

Police in Bandarban's Lama sub-district said all injured have been rushed to a hospital in seaport city Chittagong, some 242 km southeast of capital Dhaka.

The accident took place at about 6:30 a.m. (local time). Endit
