Iceland's fish catch rises 6.5 pct in Nov.

Iceland's fish catch increased by 6.5 percent year-on-year in November 2015, according to figures issued on Tuesday by Statistics Iceland.

The total fish caught in November amounted to 94,745 tonnes, including 40,116 tonnes of demersal catch and 52,307 tonnes of pelagic catch, and some shellfish, figures showed.

The total volume in November this year increased by 5,799 tonnes of fish compared with that of the same period last year.

The total fish caught in the period between December 2014 and November 2015 was 1,315,038 tonnes, an increase of 21.3 percent compared with 1,083,934 tonnes of fish caught in the previous 12-month period. Enditem
