Myanmar to hire foreign coaches for track and field athletes

Myanmar will hire five foreign coaches from China and Thailand for track and field athletes who are to compete in the Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games) to be hosted by Malaysia in 2017, sports circle said Tuesday.

   Four Chinese coaches and one Thai coach will give intensive training to 30 selected Myanmar track and field athletes.

   Myanmar Track and Field Federation is preparing to nurture new generation players in place of former athletes.

   Myanmar track and field squad won only two silver, and four bronze medals at 28th SEA Games held in Singapore this year.  Endi
