British FTSE 100 drops 1.32 pct on Monday

FTSE 100 Index, Britain's benchmark stock market gauge, decreased by 1.32 percent, or 78.72 points, to 5,874.06 points on Monday.

The share price of Old Mutual increased by 1.86 percent, topping the gainers of the blue chips. Sky, Sainsbury, Hargreaves Lansdown and TUI AG Reg Shs increased by 1.42 percent, 1.06 percent, 1.00 percent and 0.95 percent respectively.

Glencore led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 6.10 percent, followed by Shire (4.88 percent), Anglo American (3.99 percent), Antofagasta (3.87 percent) and Standard Chartered (3.70 percent). Endit
