Cambodian PM to visit Thailand for joint Cambodian-Thai cabinet meeting

Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen will pay a visit to Thailand on Dec. 18 and 19 for a Cambodia-Thailand joint cabinet retreat, a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Monday.

Hun Sen and his Thai counterpart Prayut Chan-o-cha will co-chair the 2nd Cambodia-Thailand joint cabinet retreat on Dec. 19 to consider political and security, economic, social, cultural and educational issues, the statement said.

The two leaders will preside over the signing ceremony of five documents: a Joint Declaration of the 2nd Cambodia-Thailand joint cabinet retreat, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on the development of Stung Bot-Nong Ian International point of entry, a MoU on labor cooperation, an agreement on the employment of worker, and an agreement on cooperation between business councils.

During the visit, Hun Sen will also meet with the Thai business community, it said.

His upcoming visit is made on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two neighboring countries. Endit
