Singapore stocks close 0.69 pct lower

Singapore stocks finished lower on Monday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 19.59 points, or 0.69 percent, to close at 2,815.04.

A total of 978.8 million shares changed hands with turnover of 916.3 million Singapore dollars (649.9 million U.S. dollars).

Decliners outnumbered gainers 310 to 110, while 506 others finished unchanged.

The STI index lost 13.83 points, or 0.49 percent, to close at 2,834.63 on Friday. Endit
