Myanmar to compete in U14 tennis championship in Bangkok

Myanmar tennis players will compete in ITF Asia U14 Development championships in 2016-Division 2 which will be held in Bangkok from Jan. 17-30, according to Myanmar Tennis Federation on Monday.

   A six-member Myanmar national team will participate in the Division-2 of the championship and the talented players are to compete in Division-1, the federation said.

   Aimed at nurturing new tennis players, the federation is holding tennis related talks and demonstration as well as renovation of tennis grounds at some schools.

   The Championships will feature players from Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei, Cambodia, Laos, Chinese Macau, Malaysia, Maldives, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Singapore, Sri Lanka and Turkmenistan.  Endi
