Japanese shuttler Momota wins superseries men's singles title

In a nearly one-sided men's singles final of the MetLife BWF Dubai World Superseries Finals here on Sunday, world No. 2 Kento Momota from Japan beat Dane Viktor Axelsen 21-14, 21-12 in 38 minutes only.

   Left-hander Momota, 21, dominated the court from the very beginning with and agile and aggressive play.

   "I made many mistakes today. I felt exhausted," the 1.95-meter tall Axelsen told Xinhua in Mandarin language.

   "But I feel proud about my performance in the tournament, especially my win over the world No. 1 Chen Long in the semifinal yesterday was important to me," added Axelsen, currently world No. 4.

   The Dane said Momota was a great player and he congratulated him for his victory.  Endi
