Japan's figure skating star Yuzuru Hanyu won a third straight men's title at the ISU Grand Prix Final by breaking more world records here on Saturday.
The Olympic champion, who set a world record of 110.95 points in the short program on Thursday, rewrote his world marks in both the free skate 219.48 and overall total 330.43.
Hanyu, 21, had achieved world bests in all three just over two weeks ago in the NHK Trophy in Nagano, becoming the first skater to break the mythical 300-point mark.
World champion Javier Fernandez of Spain won a silver with a total of 292.95, while Japan's Shomo Uno took bronze after the free skating final.
Uno, last year's junior GP Final winner, scored 263.45 overall with former three-time world champion Patrick Chan of Canada and China's Jin Boyang both achieving 263.45, and Japan's Daisuke Murakami (235.49) dropping to last in the six-skater field.
In the lady's competition, Russia's 16-year-old Evgenia Medvedeva won her first major title in stunning style with 222.54 overall.
It was the second gold for Russia in Barcelona after Ksenia Stolbova and Fedor Klimov won the pairs title on Friday.
Japan's Satoko Miyahara and Russian Elena Radionova took silver and bronze respectively after the free skating final.
"I'm very pleased. This is my first senior season and to get to the Grand Prix final and then win is very unexpected and nice," said Medvedeva.
Japanese star Mao Asada, 25, had been third after the short program but finished last in the elite six-skater field after an error-strewn free skate. Endi
