Fighting between the Democratic Republic of Congo (DR Congo) army and Uganda's Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) rebels have left 39 people dead in Beni territory, within North Kivu province, military spokesman for the UN mission in Congo, Amouzoun Codjo Martin, said Wednesday.
"The fighting that occurred on Nov. 29 left one peacekeeper, seven DR Congo soldiers, ten civilians and 21 ADF rebels dead," Codjo said during the UN's weekly press conference. (DR Congo-Uganda-Rebels)

ANKARA -- Four migrants drowned and nine remain missing after their boat capsized off Turkey's Aegean Sea coast on Thursday, the state-run Anatolia news agency reported.
The boat smuggling Iraqi migrants from Turkey's Aegean Aydin province to Greece capsized near Bulamac Island early Thursday, according to the report.
