Xinhua, December 9, 2015 Adjust font size:

Hainan Airlines announced the launch of direct services between Xi'an, capital of northwest China's Shaanxi Province, and Italian capital Rome on Wednesday.

The service will operate every Wednesday and Saturday with an Airbus A330. There will be three flights a week from March 27 next year.

Italy received over 1.5 million Chinese visitors last year.

Hainan Airlines will launch two more direct flights in late December, linking Xi'an with Sydney and Tokyo. Endi
