Neymar named La Liga player of the month for November

Xinhua, December 9, 2015 Adjust font size:

FC Barcelona striker Neymar was on Tuesday named as the best player in the Spanish BBVA Primera Liga for the month of November.

The reward comes on the back of a month which saw the Brazilian score a total of five goals, including one in Barca's 4-0 win away to Real Madrid in the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.

Those goals take his total for the season to 14, one more as fellow striker, Luis Suarez, who has netted 13 goals this campaign.

Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone was named as the best coach of the month after his side assured their place in the last 16 of the Champions League and moved within two points of Barca in the league table.

Atletico have 32 points from 14 games this season and have Antoine Griezmann as their top scorer with 8 goals. Those goals have led to him being mentioned as a possible transfer target for Barclays Premier League outfit Chelsea, although the striker said he had no desire to leave the Vicente Calderon Stadium.

"I don't have any need to move to the Premier League, Serie A or Ligue. I am very happy in Spain in both my football and my life," said Griezmann in an interview with Canal Football Club. Endit
