Hong Kong's Eastern Sports Club on Tuesday appointed a female coach, the first of its kind for a men's football club in Asia.

Chan Yuen Ting, former assistant coach of the club, has been named the head coach, the club announced on facebook.

Chan had been with Hong Kong Premier League side Sun Pegasus FC as assistant coach and led Sun Pegasus FC U18 to three champions.
