Natural disasters left 47 people dead, four missing and affected more than 2.47 million people across China in November, according to official figures.
The most notable events included frost, snow and landslides, with the south suffering rare winter floods, the Ministry of Civil Affairs said on Monday in a statement.
Natural disasters caused about 4.8 billion yuan (about 750 million U.S. dollars) in direct economic losses. More than 59,000 residents were relocated and some 35,000 needed emergency assistance.
About 84,000 houses were damaged and over 4,000 collapsed, with 12,600 hectares of crops destroyed, it said.
Landslides that occurred in east China's Zhejiang Province on Nov. 13 led to 38 deaths, accounting for 80 percent of fatalities reported last month, it said.
Snow and frost affected more than one million people in ten provinces and caused four deaths, leading to direct economic losses worth 3.08 billion yuan. Endi
