Beasley leads shandong to sweep Marbury's Beijing

Michael Beasley took a game-high 29 points to help Shandong get an easy home victory over defending champion Beijing 109-88 in the 14th round of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league on Sunday.

Shandong took the lead from the first minute, and the home team once got a 20-point lead in the first half. Former NBA star Stephon Marbury earned only two points for Beijing in the first half, and his poor performance affected the team.

It was a hard game for Beijing which could not control Shandong on two sides. Five Shandong players had double-digit points, crushing Beijing's confidence soon.

Dominique Jones scored a game-high 45 points, eight rebounds and 12 assists, but was still not able to give his team Shanxi a win as they lost to league leader Xinjiang 126-119. Seven players of Xinjiang contributed double-digit points, while only four of Shanxi did the same.

Elsewhere, Aolong beat Foshan 109-104, Shenzhen defeated Qingdao 116-104, Fujian lost to Shanghai 110-108, Guangdong crushed Bayi 113-76, Guangsha beat Jilin 118-93, Liaoning won over Jiangsu 103-97, Sichuan swept Tianjin 131-118, Zhejiang outscored Tongxi 102-101. Endi
