China edges Italy 2-0 in women's soccer friendly

China beat Italy 2-0 in a women's soccer friendly game here on Sunday.

Ren Guixin opened the scoring in the 35th minute after she picked up the ball within the box and blasted a low shot unguarded.

Wang Shanshan hit China's second goal at the 79th minute after connecting a cross from Tan Ruyin who shook off two defenders.

Italy and China, ranked 13th and 15th respectively in the world, fought to a 1-1 draw on Thursday. Endi
