Spanish stock market plunges 2.41 pct, closes at 10,092 points

The Spanish stock market index Ibex-35 plummeted 2.41 percent on Thursday, its biggest fall in two-and-a-half months, closing at 10,092.90 points, down from the 10,342 points of Wednesday.

On Thursday's session, ACS shares led falls dropping 4.47 percent, followed by DIA, OHL, IAG, Inditex and ArcelorMittal which lost 4.43 percent, 3.67 percent, 3.60 percent, 3.47 percent and 3.39 percent respectively.

On the other hand, Caixabank shares led rises climbing 1.30 percent, followed by Banco Sabadell and Banco Popular which rose 1.03 percent and 0.12 percent respectively.

Meanwhile, Spain's risk premium stood at 103.50 points, rising slightly from the 101.80 points of Wednesday, while Spain's 10-year bond interest rate closed at 1.7 percent, which meant a 0.2-percent rise when compared with Wednesday. Endit
