Xinhua, December 3, 2015 Adjust font size:

Indian-controlled Kashmir Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed on Wednesday expressed happiness over the informal meeting between prime ministers of India and Pakistan.

"I do not know what Narendra Modi and Nawaz Sharif discussed in their meeting during the Conference of Parties (COP21) in Paris but it was good for both the countries," Sayeed said.

"Reconciliation is the only solution to improve ties between India and Pakistan."

Modi and Sharif shook hands and sat down to talk to each other on Monday on the sidelines of the climate conference in Paris.

Though no official details of the apparently unscheduled meeting were made available. However, the meeting was hailed in both the countries as "positive development."

Last time the two leaders met at Ufa, Russia, in June this year and decided to push forward the bilateral relationship.

Analysts say it remains to be seen whether Monday's meeting will result in the resumption of formal talks between New Delhi and Islamabad. Enditem
