Singapore stocks close 0.47 pct higher

Singapore stocks finished higher on Wednesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) up 13.38 points, or 0.47 percent, to close at 2,883.64.

A total of 945 million shares changed hands with turnover of 1.06 billion Singapore dollars (757 million U.S. dollars).

Gainers outnumbered decliners 204 to 180, while 549 others finished unchanged.

The STI index up 14.32 points, or 0.50 percent, to close at 2,870.26 on Tuesday. Enditem
