World number one Mark Selby reached the last 32 of the snooker UK Championship with a 6-0 whitewash of Oliver Lines at the York Barbican Center on Sunday.
Selby, who lost 6-4 to teenager Lines at last year's International Championship in Chengdu, China, made no mistake as he eased through to a third round clash with Jamie Jones, who defeated China's Xiao Guodong 6-1.
The 2012 champion missed 147 points in the sixth frame as he potted 12 reds with blacks and the balls were nicely placed for a possible maximum mark which could have earned a 44,000 pounds bonus. But after potting the 13th red, Selby missed the black off its spot to a top corner.
Former world No. 1 Judd Trump also advanced with a 6-3 victory over Stuart Carrington.
Trump now meets practice partner Liang Wenbo of China and added: "He's the best player I've ever seen in practice and I'm surprised he hasn't won more."
Mark Allen, bidding for his third final in a row, saw off Michael Georgiou 6-2 with top breaks of 73, 66 and 102.
Ali Carter top-scored with 95 in a 6-3 win over Daniel Wells to set up a match with John Higgins.
Former world champion Neil Robertson breezed past Aditya Mehata 6-3, Ryan Day lost 6-2 to Thailand's Dechawat Poomjaeng, Mark Joyce beat Sydney Wilson 6-2, Michael Holt came from 2-1 down to defeat Chris Wakelin 6-2 and Matthew Selt beat Sean O'Sullivan 6-4. Endi
