Thousands of people throughout Spain protested on Saturday against the war in Syria in a series of concentrations which were accompanied by both politicians and famous personalities.
The anti-war manifesto, "No en nuestro nombre" (Not in our name), which has gathered 34,000 signatures during the past week was presented in cities such as Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Seville, Bilbao, San Sebastian, Zaragoza, Murcia and other major population centers. (Spain-Protest)

SKOPJE -- Total of 18 Macedonian police officers were injured Saturday afternoon, when migrants trying to enter Macedonia from Greece started to throw rocks at the police forces securing the border line, Macedonian Ministry of Interior informed.
According to the police, the migrants started to throw rocks with the purpose to breach the police line and forcefully enter the country. Two police officers suffered severe injuries in the head and several police and army vehicles were demolished. (Macedonia-Refugee Crisis)

MOSCOW -- Russian President Vladimir Putin on Saturday signed a decree imposing economic sanctions against Turkey after Turkey shot down a Russian warplane near the Syrian-Turkish border Tuesday.
The presidential decree, which was posted at the website of the Kremlin, said a ban of charter flights from Russia to Turkey will be introduced, and Russian tourism operators should stop selling tour packages to Turkey. (Russia-Turkey-Economic Sanctions)

CAIRO -- Unknown militants shot four policemen dead Saturday on the road to the pyramids in Egypt's Giza province, state media reported.
Masked militants on a motor bike opened fire at the security forces in a check point, southern antiquities area of the Pyramids, in Nomrous district, official news agency MENA reported. (Egypt-Militant Attack)

DAMASCUS -- The Syrian army said on Saturday it had information that Turkey increased its support to the militant groups in Syria in exchange for stolen Syrian and Iraqi oil and artifacts, according to the state news agency SANA.
The military statement further charged that rebel convoys move freely through the Turkish borders, adding that what Turkey pretends to be humanitarian aid is nothing but weapon shipments. (Syria-Turkey-Conflicts)
