Tunisia closes borders with Libya for 15 days

Xinhua, November 26, 2015 Adjust font size:

The Tunisian Presidency said on Wednesday that the country decided to close the borders with Libya for 15 days.

The National Security Council decided to close the border from midnight with "reinforced security measures of maritime borders and in airports," a statement said.

The council also decided to block websites linked to terror groups.

The new measure came in the light of the terrorist attack on Wednesday which targeted a bus of presidential guards and killed 13 agents and injured 20 others.

According to social media posts, the Islamic State has claimed the attack, explaining that it was done by one of their suicide-bombers. Endit
