Car bomb kills 7 in western Libya

A car bomb hit the town of Msallata in western Libya on Tuesday, killing seven people and injuring at least nine, a security source told Xinhua.
The bomb targeted a security check point in the town, some 130 km east off the capital Tripoli, at around 8:30 local time (0630 GMT), the source said.
Some local witnesses saw heavy smokes rising from the scene.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
Libya has been suffering a security vacuum and a state of anarchy since the fall of former leader Muammar Gaddafi in 2011. The country has been plagued in escalating violence and similar attacks. Endit
