Xinhua, November 24, 2015 Adjust font size:

A car bomb hit the town of Msallata in western Libya on Tuesday, killing seven people and injuring at least nine, a security source told Xinhua.

The bomb targeted a security check point in the town, some 130 km east off the capital Tripoli, at around 8:30 local time (0630 GMT), the source said.

Some local witnesses saw heavy smokes rising from the scene.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
