Deputy UN chief to visit Switzerland, Liechtenstein

The deputy UN secretary-general, Jan Eliasson, will travel to Berne, Switzerland, later Monday, UN spokesman Stephane Dujarric told reporters here.

In Berne, Eliasson will participate in the Annual Democracy Forum, co-hosted by the International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance and the government of Switzerland, Dujarric said at a daily news briefing here.

He will also meet with the Swiss Refugee Council and hold bilateral meetings with government officials, the spokesman said.

On Nov. 26, the deputy secretary-general will travel to Vaduz, Liechtenstein, for an official visit to attend the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Principality of Liechtenstein's UN membership. Enditem
