DAMASCUS -- Russian airstrikes over the past five days have destroyed 1,000 tankers of stolen crude oil the Islamic State (IS) group was moving in the countryside of Syria's northern province of al-Raqqa, state news agency SANA reported on Monday.
Citing a Syrian military source, SANA said the Russian airstrikes also destroyed oil refineries in the southern countryside of al-Raqqa, the de facto capital of the IS group, and in the northern countryside of the eastern province of Deir al-Zour. (Syria-Russia-Airstrikes)

JERUSALEM -- Two Palestinian girls stabbed an elderly with scissors in Jerusalem, before one of them was shot dead, and a Palestinian rammed his vehicle at a Jewish settler in the West Bank in a fresh outbreak of violence on Monday.

SEOUL -- A U.S. military helicopter crashed in the east region of South Korea Monday, killing two pilots aboard, Yonhap news agency reported citing the police.
The AH-64 Apache helicopter crashed at around 6:20 p.m. local time (0920 GMT) on the road in Wonju, Gangwon province.

SRINAGAR, Indian-controlled Kashmir -- All seven people were killed on Monday after a chopper carrying Hindu pilgrims crashed in Indian-controlled Kashmir, police said.
